- Biography
- Arsalan Shahid is a Ph.D. research scholar in Heterogeneous Computing Lab (HCL) at University College Dublin, Ireland. He is currently working on energy-aware massively parallel heterogeneous processing architectures. Arsalan graduated as gold medalist for the best final year project of BS in electrical engineering from HITEC University Pakistan, in 2016.
During his stay at HITEC, Arsalan founded TecHub (a non-profit student organization in collaboration with EMWITECH and HITEC). As a research associate, he worked on embedded benchmarking at EMWITECH, Pakistan. One of his released benchmarks also includes XenoJetBench, i.e., an HRT embedded benchmark presented in ICIAS 2016, Kuala Lumpur. Arsalan also holds a research experience of more than 2 years as a research assistant in a funded research project on multicore reconfigurable processors by Ministry of IT, Pakistan.
Arsalan is a member of European Network for Sustainable Ultrascale Computing (NESUS) and a part of EPA JSRM team of Energy-Efficient High-Performance Computing Working Group (EEHPC WG). He is also affiliated with IEEE. Arsalan is a member of editorial board for Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Furthermore, he has served as a reviewer for many reputed journals, conferences, and books, i.e., Elsevier VLSI, IEEE/ACM CCGRID, MKP Technologies - Cyber Tech Publishing - USA, etc.
He has interests in:
High Performance Computing,
Heterogeneous computing,
Real-time programming,
Parallel computing/programming,
Advanced computer architecture,
Processor benchmarking, and
